Lua Improvements, Spending Hours on The Little Details
Today I spent hours and hours trying to figure out how to automate the aggression of NPCs/canceling of sequences. Good news is it's much better now, automatically pulling from tables that are easy to edit, rather than manually adding in dozens of individual commands for NPCs. I think it'll lessen the bloat and is definitely easier on the eyes.
New system
Making steady progress on the main story, getting too hung up on the small details of these side-quests, but that's what makes these worlds feel alive and fun. (I think.) In another week or two, I should be finished with this starting quest hopefully. I'm always shocked to see how long I spent doing some minor piece of the map, like recoding the aggression system or designing a background story that won't even be noticed by 99% of people. What will be noticed by people?
The cyborg upgrade system. It's basically parts you can find around the map that give you random stat boosts when you bring them back to Jorge's laboratory. There'll be certain ones locked away behind boss fights that might give the player a huge advantage or even a compromise, like tons of health but less move-speed. By doing the side-quests, the player will become faster, stronger, and basically the terminator by the end stages. They'll need it if they're to survive the assault on Pristino.
